    adrikyn (3 years ago) #2593318Omg way to go me, not noticing your comment for 2 weeks orz sorry!
    Anyway, I just buy them so I can read them, easily canon review, and they can look pretty on my shelf! I never thought much about the value. Though most of the English ones are still readily available new except for a few volumes too, so I don't know if they're that valuable.
    And for the Gamecube controller...even navigating the start menu with the wiimote is a pain! I always have to find new batteries each time too lol. And old Gameboy consoles are just so bad by today's standards. I wish I still had a working GBA SP, those were great, but they feel so small in my dumb adult hands now too, lmfao.

    Haha, no problem! Personally I try to keep an eye out on my e-mail, because I just click away the notifications here, because I get so many (especially after new pictures from a figure are uploaded :P).

    It's really nice to have a big collection from a series! How they all line up with the same backsides~ :3

    Ah, I actually don't know about what the value is from the English ones, I think they are still getting printed? (So a second hand one is probably a bit under retail value?) When it comes to the Dutch print, it almost feels like they are worth less than the paper it was printed on, lol.

    My hands were always too shaky to try and fill in my name whenever I was at a friends place with a Wii, lol! I mostly got frustrated after a few letters and just gave up to write "Maakie". xD

    Oh, trust me the GBA SP is small! xD Ever sinds I got an DS Lite, whenever I went back to play a game on my GBA SP it felt like a way too small and light thing. xD

    adrikyn (3 years ago) #2565851Aw ;; I really want the YGO set but I can't seem to find it anywhere... There's no way that guy will accept an order from online, huh? :P
    It's pretty inconvenient when one has to find different ways to order what he likes. Idk how much the whole set will be, otherwise I'd pre-ordered one more set for splitting. By the way, the shipping cost is fine-ass madness indeed.

    adrikyn (3 years ago) #2564725Hey again!, I see you ordered ITEM #264492 Could you tell me where you found it? Thank you! If you could tell me where you ordered ITEM #277608 as well I'd be really grateful! ;w;
    Well, we have one dude in our area who orders gashapon or keychain sets (1 set per person). I don't know how he manages it but we always get what we pre-ordered. Both YGO&YYH sets were requested that way.

    adrikyn (3 years ago) #2552695I totally splurged and bought all the YGO manga awhile ago omg ;; I haven't even finished going through them yet though... I'm on like, 15/38. Some of the book were out of print so I jumped on the rest.
    But ah, I always wished I had a GameCube as a kid! It feels too late to go back now... I have a Wii, but I hate navigating the menu to get to the GC games. Maybe I'll buy a GC. Unfortunately I don't have anything good to play GBA games on either, since I have an original GBA and without the backlight I just... >_< it's a different day and age, truly! I used to be able to do it, but now no backlight seems impossible... I only have a couple games left for the GBA/GBC anymore. It's all DS and 3DS now.
    (and yeah, Forbidden Memories is PS1 exclusive, sadly...)

    Here locally the Dutch translation isn't rare or out of print but it has 0 collector's value. So I'm not sure yet if I'm going to hunt after the English ones (US editions) or buy cheap ones that are worth even less. xD

    But you can put Gamecube controllers in a Wii, right? So that way you can have the full Gamecube-experience, although it's on a different machine?

    Seriously, the GBA has not that much interesting games, I use my GBASP mainly to just play Game Boy (Color) games, lol! On the other hand I think you could find a secondhand GBASP pretty cheap if you would still be interested in one to play the few interesting games that came out for it. xD

    I also have a few friends with the normal GBA and they also don't like playing on it anymore. xD Personally I also don't like playing on my Game Boy (Color). On top of no light to help you, you also need to put batteries in them and they use up so much, arghhh!!!!

    Well, I need to buy a new PS1 some day, so maybe in the future I can play it! :) For now with Christmas my bf and I got a PS3 as a shared gift, which I'm already super duper excited with! It's been so long since we had a new console and we can't believe we have something with such good graphics in our home now, haha!

    adrikyn (3 years ago) #2532159I like the manga's original series part a bit more, just because it's more violent haha. But the original anime is pretty cute, if a little more episodic than my usual tastes.
    Anyway, if you don't have a PS2 it's a good investment! A lot of PS2 games that are great still haven't made their way onto the PSN, and probably never will. It's kind of a shame... My PS2 collection is easily my biggest, and I'm still always buying more games for it. Best console ever ;w;
    I played a little of Falsebound but it didn't seem my style (that or I didn't get far enough into it)--I liked the chess-like aspects of the Capumon game and Duelists of the Roses. They're easily my two favourite YGO games like...ever. ;w; I wish I could find another game like DOTR. There's also Forbidden Memories which is KINDA like DotR but lacks the awesome grid mechanic.
    I think I heard of the Dungeon Dice Monsters game before :o always wanted to try it, but I think it was on a console I didn't own or something.

    I have the first few manga, but it's a long time since I read it! It's a lot heavier than the series indeed! I actually in the future want to have all the manga, but it's such a huge collection the completely "only" the original series, so I'm pushing it away for now. xD

    Haha, that sounds the same as the GameCube for me! xD I own 100+ games for it and still have so much good ones left to buy! So much nice exclusives for a console almost everyone forgot! Q.Q

    Oh, a lot of people don't like Falsebound Kingdom, haha! It's really a strategy game that also requires quite some speed while you think. So it's a very specific genre.

    Ah, but Forbidden Memories is a PS1 exclusive, right? I'm crying because of my PS1 not working. I feel bad about buying a new one and abonding my current one, but thos one doesn't work, so don't know why I want to keep it! xD

    Well the Destiny Board Traveler game is for the Game Boy Advance. Personally I love my Game Boy Advance SP, because it's lightweight, easy-to-travel with, very durable and can also play original Game Boy (Color) games with backlightning. The only thing is that the GBA is the console I have the least games for. There is just not that much that interests me for it and all the good ones I own already for quite some time. :P

    adrikyn (3 years ago) #2517862The whole series is a little narmy, but it's definitely easier to take later stuff more seriously, lmao. But you mean Capumon? I actually really like the Playstation2 game based off of that game! It's called Capsule Monster Coliseum. 'w'

    Haha, yeah the original series is not for everyone, but still I recommend it a lot, because a lot of people see YGO as a series only about card games and I would like to show them it also has a lot of original games in there. :P

    YES. CAPUMON. THANK YOU. That was the name I couldn't remember! Yeah, I read once about there being a PS2 game from it! I don't have a PS2 unfortunately (am planning to buy a PS3 for Christmas and I have a broken PS1 here :P). There are quite some PS2 exclusives where I'm also interested in, but in the future I would love to own a lot of consoles anyways, hehe!

    When it comes to "different" YGO games the ones I have and played are Falsebound Kingdom for the Gamecube (which is a strategy game about owning and keeping buildings, but becomes turnbased when you fight) and Destiny Board Traveler, which is inspired by the Dungeon Dice Monsters game they play at the end of season 1 when they meet Otogi. :)

    adrikyn (3 years ago) #2505561Hehe, I'm glad it made you smile! That scene always cracked me up... It's so needlessly dramatic.

    Haha, yeah a lot of the original series is like that! I had a really hard time to take the yoyo-gang episode seriously. xD

    I really do like the original series though, a lot of nice games were introduced! I personally like the game the most where they have this gashapon machine with level monsters in there (completely forgot the name orz), anyway the episode with the weird stalker-guy. :P

    I went to your profile and just had to laugh at the gif from Kaiba you have. xD It's so dramatic and his bright-green hair from the original series always brings a smile to my face. :)

    adrikyn (3 years ago) #2505258I see you have Hunter x Hunter stuff on your rule breaker list :0 ahhh you should totally watch the 2011 anime! It's like, my favourite anime ever. Ever ever. I think episode 5 or 8-ish was where I started getting super invested but I loved it from episode 1 too.
    I actually have watched some of it! One of my friends is super into it. I watched up to about episode 10 or something like that but it just couldn't quite keep my attention, I felt like it wandered off too much.
    But Gon and Killua are just too cute > w<
